Preparing for Sunday - September 23, 2018

Hi Shoreliners,

“Corporate worship is designed to make you thankful, not just for possessions and accomplishments, but for what you’ve been given in Christ.” -Paul David Tripp

Come ready to sing the following songs:

Open the Eyes of My Heart - Paul Baloche

Paul tells us in Ephesians 1:18, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people”. As we start our service, we’ll ask the Lord to open the eyes of our hearts to know and understand “the hope to which he has called us”.

Sooner Count the Stars - Sovereign Grace

We’ll continue singing this great song that focuses on the indescribable nature of our God. No “praise is high enough, words deep enough or song sweet enough” to fully define His love for us!

Holy Holy Holy - Traditional (Ghost Ship arrangement)

At Shoreline, we love to sing old and new songs. This favorite hymn written by Reginald Heber in 1826, is based off the Nicene Creed. The words evoke a sense of awe at the majesty of God, and call on all of creation – humans, saints and angels, and all living things – to praise the Godhead three-in-one.

You are my All in All - Dennis Jernigan

Our last two songs are popular ones from the 1990’s and they both communicate great truths to us. This one reminds us that Christ is sufficient for everything we need in our lives. When we take our eyes off the world, and place them on Christ, He truly can become our “all in all.”

Amazing Love - Billy Foote

We’ll finish our service by praising the Lord for the finished work on the cross and rejoicing in His amazing love for us.
